UEFA will investigate Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus

The European Football Headquarters (UEFA) has appointed ethics and disciplinary experts to investigate the teams of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus. The purpose of the inspection is to find possible violations of the UEFA legal framework in connection with the Super League project.

On April 19, England’s Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal, Spain’s Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, as well as Italy’s AC Milan, Inter and Juventus announced the creation of the Super League.

After a sharp protest from fans and a threat of sanctions from the International Football Federation (FIFA) and UEFA, only Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus remain in the Super League. On May 7, UEFA announced a truce with the other nine teams and also published a list of sanctions in case of returning the idea of creating a Super League.
