Top 10 Best Football Players In The World For 2020

Since the beginning of March, the football world has stopped to function due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and since then we don’t know what football is. That is something unexperienced so far to the younger generations. We have used to enjoy watching football games every week, so that became something normal in our lives and thinking now what we lost, I realised that without football the World it’s not the same.

My view is that we didn’t appreciate the easy access we had to the Worlds best leagues and watching the best players performing on the pitch every week. We took it for granted!

That’s why we decided to show you the best Football players in the World for 2020, so we can refresh our memory and recall who has been performing well during season 2019/20.

10.Paul Pogba – Manchester United

Since he moved to Manchester United in 2016, Paul Pogba looks like a faint shadow of the player he used to be at Juventus. Although the high expectations of everyone, the Frenchman couldn’t show the same level of performance that he was showing in Turin. But this is by no fault of his own, however.

Contributing to his weak performance on the pitch, the former Man United manager Jose Mourinho couldn’t find the right connection with the player, either playing him out of position or omitting him completely.

The other thing for his weak performance was the distinct lack of quality around him at Old Trafford, which more or less could reflect on your general performance. Take, for example, his performance when he is playing for his country.

Still, when he is happy and have quality players around him, Pogba is one of the best midfielders in the World.

9.Eden Hazard – Real Madrid

Without doubt, Eden Hazard is one of the best players in the World, and he showed that in the time when he was at Chelsea. But since his departure from the club last summer to Real Madrid, he failed to show the same consistency and quality on the pitch.

The reason for that is the bad luck he had with the injuries which haunted him during the season and prevented him from showing his full talent and quality.

Even with seven games played so far this season, he has 4.4 dribbles per game which place him second after Lionel Messi in La Liga which show us how good Eden is. So once he is fully fit, that 4.4 dribbles percentage will rise even higher and without doubt, we will see the old Eden Hazard on the horizon.

8.N’Golo Kante – Chelsea FC

No matter whether you are Chelsea supporter or not, you cannot hate N’Golo Kante. One of the most modest and down to earth football supper stars who don’t drive fancy sports cars and dress in expensive clothes, he is an example off and on the pitch.

He doesn’t have terrific footwork and doesn’t score often, but what makes him so good and valuable it’s relentless chasing on the ball for 90 min and the versatility he could offer you.

He could play in front of the back four as a defensive midfielder, next second he could be an attacking midfielder assisting and scoring goals, and that’s what makes him a world-class player.

7.Sadio Mane – Liverpool FC

Having the approval of Lionel Messi, it’s a huge achievement itself, and that must mean that you are really good.

The Argentinian magician gave his vote for Sadio Mane at 2019 Fifa Best Awards ceremony and expressed his disappointment that Mane finished in fourth place.

And he is right to be disappointed because what Sadio Mane achieved with Liverpool in the last year was exceptional.

One of the best-left wings in the world Mane has the full potential to become the best football player in the World in the near feature.

6.Kevin De Bruyne – Manchester City

When you watch Kevin De Bruyne playing on the pitch, it looks like he doesn’t put any effort into it. But in reality, he has a devastating effect against his opponents.

His elegance, combined with his pace and strength makes him one of the best midfielders in the World. With his range of accurate passes, the sublime first touch and the awareness of what happens around him he can dictate and win any game.

That makes you wonder how Chelsea let this world-class player slip away from them.

5.Kylian Mbappe – Paris Saint Germain

One if not the most promising young player in the world football, Kylian Mbappe already won three Ligue 1 titles, Coupe de France and the World Cup title and he is only 21 years old. WOW.

The other mindblowing fact is that he has scored 122 goals so far, more than both Lionel Messi (50) and Cristiano Ronaldo (36) had managed to score by the time they reached the same age. Isn’t that impressive!

So when you hear people saying that he will be the one who will replace Messi and Ronaldo from the top, don’t be surprised.

4.Neymar – Paris Saint Germain

2019 won’t be remembered as the best year for Neymar. There were a lot of factors which contributed for his poor form on the pitch including injuries, suspensions, ongoing transfers rumours and off-field problems.

However, the Brazilian magician remains one of the best footballers in the World who can change a game like no other player. With his perfect dribbling, perceptive passes and first-class finish Neymar is a complete footballer.

3.Virgil Van Dijk – Liverpool FC

In 2018 when Liverpool FC broke the transfer record for a most expensive defender in the World by spending £75m for signing Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton, everybody thought that they are mad. But who is the mad one now?

Finishing second after Lionel Messi in 2019 FIFA Ballon d’Or, Van Dijk become the best defender in the World.

When Jamie Redknapp was asked about Van Dijk, he said the following: ” Think of the best defenders in Premier League history – John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, and Nemanja Vidic. Van Dijk is all three players rolled into one.”

Doesn’t matter how strong you want to argue about that, you have to agree with his words. Since Van Dijk move to Anfield in early 2018, he has been the best defender in the World.

2.Cristiano Ronaldo – Juventus

One of the best football players for all times that the World has ever seen Cristiano Ronaldo continues performing at the highest level even at the age of 34.

Winner of 5 Ballon d’Or awards Ronaldo will be looking to level up with his biggest rival on the pitch Lionel Messi by winning another Ballon d’Or award next season.

Wining multiply titles with Man United, Real Madrid, Juventus and Portugal, the Portugues is one of the most successful football players in history.

Also, he is the only player ever to score a hat-trick in the Premier League, La Liga and Seria A as well as the World Cup.

Unfortunately, with age, the career of this incredible footballer its approach its end and the only thing we can do is to enjoy his performance on the pitch whenever he plays.

1.Lionel Messi – FC Barcelona

Whatever we said about Lionel Messi will be not enough, because the things he does on the pitch sometimes you can not explain.

We already mentioned his name a lot in this article, even before we have reached him. You might wonder why? Simply because he is the best at everything.

He passes the ball better than everyone else, he dribbles with the ball like no other player, and he scores the most goals – 717 in total—no wonder why he is the only player in history with 6 Ballon d’Or awards.

But as I mentioned earlier, as he is getting older his career, it’s nearing to the inevitable end.

So hopefully when all football seasons resume we will be able to enjoy watching this magician again on the pitch by doing what he can do best – create magic with the ball.
