I’m looking for a present for my cousin. He’s super passionate football player and I want to give his something that he would really enjoy. The Nike Mercurial Vapor 13 elite sounds fantastic and I know he’d looooove it.
I do have a question about the shoe: what type of material is FlyKnit? Is it a natural material in which the foot can breath or is it a synthetic material and your foot sweats in it? I know he had previous problems with that so I was just wondering.

Hi Kat. I bet that your cousin will fall in love with those football boots. The FlyKnit is a polyester material which allows your skin to breath so you won’t get those smelly feet. Also, FlyKnit technology is only used by Nike and is strictly kept in secret how they do it. The only thing we know is that is seamless and that they weave the material with a special machine and also reduce the waste of material.
Thank you for this review. I really love the look of these, especially with that Flyknit construction, makes it seem like it will hug your feet. Is that red MERC, stripe and Nike logo a leather or rubber-type material? One other question, is that black and white pattern also on the bottom of the shoe in the arch area? It almost looks like it goes from one side of the shoe to the other side in one continuous piece.
Thank you for your comment, Robert. They are really nice boots. On the first question, the red MERC and the Nike logo are from rubber-type material. The second question about the black and white pattern whether is on the bottom on the shoe the answer is yes, it continues on the bottom on the shoe.
