Abramovich Wants Tuchel To Get Chelsea Back Into The Race For The Title

The owner of Chelsea Roman Abramovich believes that there is still a chance for the blues from London to catch up with the teams at the top and eventually get involved in the race for the title.

Precisely that is one of the requirements for the rumoured new manager Thomas Tuchel who is supposed to sign an 18 months contract with the Blues.

Currently, Chelsea is at the 9th place in the Premier League, 11 points behind the leader Manchester United.

Abramovich believes that the team has enough quality and that it’s middle of the season and that there is plenty of time until the end of this campaign for Chelsea to get back into the fight for the title.

Certainly, Abramovich and the board of directors believe that Chelsea could improve their standing in the table from last year when they finished 4th in the league. That is one of the reasons Frank Lampard to be sacked now.

At the end of the day, Chealsea’s legendary midfielder departs the club as the manager with the worst match-winning rating in terms of average won points per game in the Abramovich era at Chelsea.
